JOY Brant Pride Event
September 2026Board Members KJ and Esther had a blast alongside volunteers Vii, Mel, and Jill hosting the Dress Up Photo Booth at the annual JOY Brant Pride event held in Lions Park, Paris Ontario on Sunday September 27th, 2026 with the goal of raising awareness of the new non-profit theater group serving Brantford and surrounding areas.
With a table full of Sad Nuggie wig and hat models, a table of props, and 2 racks of costumes and accessories ranging from feather boas to clown pants, All Hotties Theater invited participants to play dress up and take photos with the Floral Frame and/or against the Theater or Outer Space backdrops.
Families, friends, and solo visitors took advantage of the booth’s offerings and many guests of the event came by to scan the QR code and ask questions about the newly formed organization. AHT was thrilled to be engaging with the community and spreading the joy of theater at the group’s very first Pride event.
A reporter from the Brantford Expositor stopped by and took photos, as well as a statement from the President, who related the origin of the group’s founding in June of 2026.
While wind conditions meant constantly re-adjusting the cardboard backdrops and the late arrival of a canopy made for a less-than-ideal banner placement, the day turned out to be quite beautiful and several new community connections were made.
All Hotties Theater’s next event is their first Sip and Social, taking place on October 18th from 2-4pm at Steve’s Tea Company.
